The grade reads the same across families: higher is deeper and more absorbing. On a scrim, deeper also disappears more completely when unlit, and asks more of the projector.

The reveal

A partly transparent optical surface for floating images, reveals and apparitions: the picture appears to hang in space, then vanishes. For the cleanest result, rear projection with an ultra-short-throw lens keeps the beam out of the audience's eyes and the spill light off whatever sits behind the screen.

Between the stops · A Cluster is a surface dialed to order between or past the standing grades (TS·70*): a dedicated run, a longer road, a higher cost. Name the black you need.
