Diffuse return is the share of the light landing on the surface that comes back; the grade is the share absorbed. Higher grade: deeper black, more projector.

Optics, measured
·At least 85% of peak brightness across the full ±90° hemisphere; no half-gain point

Sound through the screen
Woven to let sound pass while staying opaque to the image, so loudspeakers sit behind the picture in the same plane. Insertion loss is 1.3 to 1.5 dB broadband in the tested configuration, about 1.2 dB through the principal dialogue range, with a gradual high-frequency reduction that is readily corrected in normal calibration.
Between the stops · A Cluster is a surface dialed to order between or past the standing grades (AT·65*): a dedicated run, a longer road, a higher cost. Name the black you need.
